Choosing the best electric car in the world involves a difficult decision, if you are not clear about what it is or will be used for and you must also consider its cost. So, we have made a preselection of three cars of different brands and models based on a list of the most expensive and fastest cars in the world, with the understanding that money does not represent any problem, we proceeded to choose a car by category, so one car with the shortest time on 0-60 mph, another car on top speed, and another car with the best battery range.
______________
Car Rank
The one chosen in the category of fastest car from 0 to 60 mph is the Aspark Owl, it is the first all-electric “hyper car” to come out of Japan and is limited to only 50 units, which gives it an extra bonus as a collector car. This car costs $4 million and can go from 0 to 60 mph in just 1.72 seconds.
In the second category we have the Rimac Nevera, the fastest electric vehicle in the world with a maximum speed of 258 mph (410 km/h).
In the third category we have the Lucid Air Sapphire. It has an incredible exterior appearance and offers a lot of power with a super battery with 427 miles of range.
See our ranking list below and the features for each of them are also presented.
Aspark Owl
When it was originally revealed at the 2019 Dubai International Motor Show, it went viral right away. Providing that insane amount of power with four electric motors, it has a unique torque-vectoring system, and a 64.0-kWh lithium-ion battery pack.
The lithium-ion battery fully charges in 80 minutes—though Aspark says it intends to make it even more efficient in the future.
Rimac Nevera
Right now, the world's quickest electric vehicle with a top speed of 258 mph is the Rimac Nevera. It's a limited edition of only 150 pieces. The first year of production for Nevera is already sold out, with a yearly production limit of just 50 examples.
It has four electric motors that ensure that the Nevera hypercar offers jaw-dropping acceleration. Everything was designed, engineered, and built in-house by Rimac, from the carbon-fiber monocoque structure and 120-kilowatt-hour battery pack to the electric motors and the software that controls everything.
The total output from the Nevera's motors is 1,914 horsepower and 1,740 pound-feet of torque, a substantial 336 hp and 560 lb-ft more than a Bugatti Chiron Super Sport, not to mention 37 hp and 14 lb-ft more than the Battista.
